Professor Richard Wilkinson

will describe his research - with Kate Pickett - showing why so much of the current political action to deal with such social ills in the UK is likely to be ineffective, expensive and wasteful, while other countries do much better.

The talk will be followed by a question time with Richard Wilkinson and a panel of local political representatives. The meeting is scheduled to finish at 12.30. There will be a follow up meeting in Friends’ House, Wynards Lane from 14.00 until approx 15.30 for those wishing to continue deliberations
