Devon Elders & Overseers

In June 2018, in the absence of any name to serve for a three year period, we agreed to appoint Devon's Elders & Overseers convenor on a rolling basis. This Friend will be appointed at the AM Elders and Overseers meeting and serve until the close of the subsequent meeting.

From October 2018 to February 2019 the convenor is Frances Link (Kingsbridge meeting).

John Southern (Torbay Meeting) has been appointed in the role of Assistant clerk for each meeting in order to keep continuity of clerkship and to circulate information. They welcome your questions about any aspects of the group's work.

Learning and Sharing Days

It is proposed that instead of the third meeting we have customarily held on the third Saturday of June, we experiment with holding more local gatherings of Elders and Overseers during the summer months. We invite suggestions as to the organisation of these occasions, between small groups of neighbouring Local Meetings.

For the time being, we will keep the booking of Exeter Meeting House on Saturday 15th June until further decisions have been made.
